One day is not enough for sightseeing in Macau. So many places to visit like, San Ma Lo/Senado Square, St. Agustine Church, Ruins of St. Paul, Na Tcha Temple, A-ma Temple, Dom Pedro V Theatre, Macau Tower, The Venetian, Hotel Lisboa, Guia Fortress, chapel %26amp; lighthouse, Macau Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf, Monte Fort %26amp; Macau museum, Cybernetic fountain and many more. When we were there last April 5-6, 2008, we didnt got the chance to visit all the macau world heritage, I want to come back again soon. Maybe next time, it will be purely Macau trip , no more Hongkong.

Yes, I think 2 to 3 nights in Macau is enough for sightseeing.
