Peking Duck in Yiwu?

I would have to agree with the above recommendation. I was unable to find a restaurant such as one that would serve Peking Duck here.

For me, I would go to Hong Kong where this dish is more popular and go to one of the places that specialize in this like Deer Park. Even in the Hong Kong restaurants, the taste of this dish was different than what I became accustomed to in China Town New York, but still worthwhile for a Peking Duck junkie.

I was only able to find a few local restaurants around my hotel and even the restaurants in the hotels serve mostly local food. I cannot claim an extensive knowledge of all the restaurants in Yiwu, but the ones I went to around my hotel were very good although the food was much different than anything I had tried before. I found that English speaking people in the restaurants were few and far between to help us with the menus, but that made the experience more enjoyable.

I did have duck for lunch in Yiwu, but it was not ';Peking Duck';. I can%26#39;t remember the name of the place, but it was a hole in the wall located on a second floor and probably called the farm house or something and the dish was wonderful. It was a whole duck (including the head and beak) chopped up in a sweet brown sauce. There were no pancakes, hoisin, or onions. There are many restaurants like this with prepared dishes set on a table for you to look at and choose from.

anyway, i%26#39;ll be sure to try the local cuisine, but not too hopeful about the duck!

hey i know a good shop that sells peking ducks. quite original taste to the real peking ducks.but it%26#39;s still quite good. it%26#39;s near Xiuhu Middle School or the rural products market.
