Westin or Mandarin Oriental for families

We are 4 families who are meeting up in Macau for a reunion of sorts - coming from Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong. There are 8 children between us under the age of 5 yrs. Westin seems so removed from everything yet might be the best due to our family make-ups - Mandarin is tempting but is it family friendly enough for so many little people? Will likely spend lots of time pool side but would like the option to get out and about a little if we feel the urge. Appreciate any thoughts/input.

Westin has better service, Mandarin is closer to town.

It is quite difficult to decide.

If it is a short stay, say 1 night, I would go for Mandarin, otherwise Westin.

Resort area at the MO is very nice, but there are more facilities for children and the Westin. The latter has free shuttle buses running to and from the ferry terminal, which is amain public bus stop for getting everywhere else and very close to Fishermen%26#39;s Wharf %26amp; Yahoan department store. The bus trip from the Westin takes about 20 minutes.

Thanks for your replies. Sounds like we would enjoy either hotel but will likely go for the Westin for this trip with all the children. Appreciate input!
