Transport to Hotel Guia and dinner around there

I will be arrived at Macau around 7:30pm. Can anyone suggested what%26#39;s the best way to reach Hotel Guia frmo the Macau airport at that point of time? Any bus? Or taxi better?

Besides, appreciate if you can let me know any good food shops/stalls around Hotel Guia so that I can have my dinner without moving far that night.

Appreciate your advise....thanks!!

Unforttunately none of the buses from Taipa (the airport area) goes anywhere near the Guia, so a taxi would probably be the easiest (MOP 60 - 70).

Or if you don%26#39;t have too much luggage, you could catch AP1 to the Metropark / Holiday Inn stop and choose any crowded restaurant in the pedestrian lanes around that area before going up to the hotel - from there it should only be an MOP11 taxi fare (maybe up to MOP15 if you get stuck in a traffic jam).

Hi, the best way (frankly) is to eat the nasi lemak(once on board, ask the flight attendant to reserve for you,as they run out fast),or buy in advance our ';maggi'; pot noddles(keep in your checked baggage),then take a taxi from airport straight to the hotel, unpack, and have the pot noddles(maybe also with some biscuits)and have an early night,so that you will have full energy tomorrow, especially on day of flight, you would have expended quite a bit of time with airport transfer, take it easy on first day,I was on one of this flight, and upon arrival, the airport was almost deserted, even the visitor information center was closed, and I was informed will only open 40minutes later, and many of the counters were also closed.

Even immigration officers looks tired, and it does not help that the arrival area is dimly lit. Do check that immigration officers had stamped on your passport and also on the disembarkation card.

Alternatively,if you want to save on taxi direct from airport,is to take the API to ferry terminal(there is food over here),then take Hotel Guia shuttle bus. The shuttle bus will also take you to Lisboa hotel,so you are within easy walking distance to Senado Sq,Wynn etc.

Just imagine, ';maggi';pot noddle, with feet up in the balcony of your room, enjoying the sight of the distant sea or inland.

Sorry, mKiara, no more balcony rooms at the Guia since their renovations.

In reply to last thread, thank you for informing that balcony had been comprised when undergoing renovations,as it was lovely to sit on the balcony and see the Macau GP.

Does that imply that the room size are bigger now,and extended to balcony space?

Anyway, we hope our poster, will have a great stay,am sure the Chinese restaurant at the hotel is still operating(?).

yes, mKiara, the balconies were enclosed to increase room size.

The restaurant downstairs was also renovated and reopened just about a year ago.
