Planning on going to China for the Olympics in August. Will be in Beijing from Aug 14-20. Would like to see Jiuzhaigou, Guilin, and Shanghai afterwards before leaving out of Shanghai on Aug 30. Any recommendation on the best order and route to hit these places? Also how many days would be best spent at each location? Thanks for your help!

21/8: flight Beijing -- Jiuzhaigou (with stopover in Chengdu OR buy the 2 legs separately)
22-23/8: Jiuzhaigou/Huanglong
24/8: flight Jiuzhaigou -- Chengdu, flight Chengdu -- Guilin
25-27/8: Guilin/Yangshuo
28/8: fly Guilin -- Shanghai
28-30/8: Shanghai

We%26#39;re actually leaving Beijing on Aug 20--where would you recommend spending that extra day? Would a trip to Xian before Jiuzhaigou for 1 day be too rushed?
Take an overnight train to Xi%26#39;an, do some sightseeing there then fly to Jiuzhaigou. We did the same, starting from Shanghai instead of Beijing.
