What is a good Hotel for sight seeing and romance for about 70.00 usd a nite ?

Hi its a tall order indeed.For USD70 u dont expect much for a very good hotel in Shanghai.The budget for a good hotel easily surpass at least 100Usd..but u still can get a good enough hotel around yr budgetor slightly more like Charms Hotel.,East Asia hotel,Celebrity services apartment,Bund riverside hotel,Asset hotel,Astor house (cost slightly more),Galaxy hotel,Nanjing hotel,Seventh heaven hotel.,Pacific luck hotel,Cityhotel.

A good Hotel

Since this site, Tripadvisor, is all about user hotel reviews, I suggest you scan the top 60 or 80 hotels in the Tripadvisor ratings.

I would much rather trust the literally thousands of reviews posted by travelers than one person%26#39;s recommendation on this forum. Remember some hotels add service charges and taxes on top of the base rate.

Hi also please be advised that some of the posters r literally working on behalf of the hotels or certain agencies so its also not very advisable to believe everything that is posted.Frankly i had stayed in a number of the hotels as i travel in n out of Shanghai many times in a year n i always stay in hotels so i wouldnt recommend any that i had not stayed before.Besides its difficult to measure the value by a yardstick as the standard varies fromeach individual expectations.But if for USD70 i will not expect too much,just so long as the location is good n the hotel is clean with efficient staff(i may add that the staff may not be proficient in English in this category of hotels).this is another factor taken into account.

And romance?!
