4* hotels in/near Nanhui

Hi all

I might need to go for business for a company located in the Nanhui district, more specifically on East Kangqiao Road. Can anyone recommend a decent 4* or 5* hotel, with all the mod cons and broadband internet, near this area? Preferably there should b some restaurants/cafes around the hotel as well.

That%26#39;s really quite far, wow. Figure on about 30 RMB taxi ride from Longyang Lu or Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park metro stops on line 2 -- look on http://www.exploreshanghai.com/metro for an interactive metro map of Shanghai.

Thanks. Actually found out cust is in FenYang Road, Xuhui District. Would u recommend hotels in Pudong or Puxi? Dont need 2 worry bout taking the metro, as long as its quite close by taxi (say 10mins or so).

Don%26#39;t know your budget, but the newest hotel on this shortish street is Howard Johnson Huaihai. Otherwise you should try Donghu Hotel.

There%26#39;s also Education Hotel and Shanghai Education Hall for quite a lot cheaper, but very basic facilities.

hey, thanks 4 that. i think company is putting us up in fanli hotel. apparently that%26#39;s where most ppl visiting the company stays. a bit of a prob on my side is that website is entirely in chinese of which my knowledge is v limited. however i do know frm reading the map that is near nanjing rd.

Sorry, you%26#39;re not looking at the right place on the map. There%26#39;s a Fengyang Lu near Nanjing Lu pedestrian street but that%26#39;s Huangpu district. Fenyang Lu in Xuhui district is where the Shanghai Conservatory of Music is.

Hmmm from the address it certainly seems like they%26#39;re one and the same place.

Better clarify if you%26#39;re going to Fengyang Lu (凤阳路) in Huangpu district, or Fenyang Lu (汾阳路) in Xuhui district, big difference between the two!

the address in chinese is:

徐汇区汾阳路 （近五官科医院）

according to the customer it is 3-4kms from hotel to office...

Within 5 mins walk of where I am, then.
