Direct to hangzhou or Shanghai?

I will arrive at hangzhou this July at noon. I%26#39;m wondering whether to travel direct to hangzhou or Shanghai when arrived at hangzhou airport?

Direct to hangzhou or Shanghai?

How are we supposed to make this decision for you?! We don%26#39;t even know you, let alone what you want/need to do here.

Direct to hangzhou or Shanghai?

First of all, thanks for the reply.

I%26#39;m sorry for giving incomplete info. This July i going to travel hangzhou, Shanghai and Suzhou for 5 days 4 nights.

I would like to seek for help of the best starting way to travel above mentioned city within time frame.

Arriving 1st day Hangzhou airport (noon) and depart from hangzhou airport on the 5th day (noon).

Any suggestion?

Trying to see 3 cities in 3+0.5+0.5 days, including flights in and out, sounds like a very poor plan to me.

Since you%26#39;re arriving and leaving from Hangzhou, you can%26#39;t skip this. I would suggest that you see only Hangzhou and Shanghai on this trip.

Please provide more information about yourselves especially sightseeing interests/preferences if you%26#39;re looking for more specific advice.

Actually no planning to go specific places. just want to eat and walk around the city.

In Hangzhou surely i will go to West Lake and Lingyin temple and other historic places. For Shanghai, no idea at all. Or you can recommend some?

As your suggestion, i%26#39;m planning to stay at Shanghai (2 days) and Hangzhou (2 days). So, heading to Shanghai first better? Are there any shuttle bus or transport to Shanghai directly from airport?

General sightseeing information for Shanghai is easily available online so I won%26#39;t bother regurgitating the information. Please look on the following URLs to start with.

No, there%26#39;s no direct transport between Hangzhou airport and Shanghai that I know of, apart from taking a taxi which%26#39;s rather expensive and IMHO not worth the splurge.

What dates will you be travelling on?

4TH JULY.

My tour plan:-

1st day:Airport(1pm)-Hangzhou

2nd day:Hangzhou-Shanghai

3rd day: Shanghai

4th day: Shanghai-Hangzhou

5th day: Hangzhou-Airport(2pm)

Can anybody recommend hotel in Hangzhou and Shanghai?

If possible, around RMB300-400 and easy access to most of the places.

I presume you%26#39;re flying by AirAsia, both ways.

Fri 4/7: arrive Hangzhou 1300, Hangzhou

Sat 5/7: morning train Hangzhou -- Shanghai, Shanghai

Sun 6/7: Shanghai

Mon 7/7: Shanghai, midday train Shanghai -- Hangzhou

Tue 8/7: flight depart Hangzhou 1400

That gives you 0.5+0.5+0.5=1.5 days in Hangzhou, and 1+1+0.5=2.5 days in Shanghai.

Hangzhou: Southline Hotel, Junwang Holiday Hotel, Xinding Garden Hotel

Shanghai: Shangfu Holiday Hotel, Seventh Heaven Hotel, East Asia Hotel

Thank you for the recommendation.

I%26#39;m plan to stay at Southline Hotel (1st day)and Wuyang hotel (last day) in Hangzhou. Shanghai will be Seventh heaven hotel. How do reach this hotel from airport and train (Shanghai)?

Where can i book this hotel for reasonable price?

Are the train ticket always available from Hangzhou to Shanghai and vice versa at counter? Or need to book in advance?

Thanks.

Hangzhou airport -- Southline Hotel: airport shuttle to Wulin Square then taxi.

Shanghai main/South train station -- Seventh Heaven Hotel: metro line 1 to People%26#39;s Square metro interchange then walk along Nanjing Lu pedestrian street.

Wuyang Holiday Hotel -- Hangzhou airport: reverse the directions for the 1st day.
