Chengdu-Chongqing trip

Hi Peeps!

I will be in Chengdu this coming Saturday until Tuesday morning. Any suggestions how can I enjoy the place, see hug Pandas and other tourist spots? I%26#39;ll be checking in Sim%26#39;s Cozy Graden Hostels, do i have to make reservation or can I just go there?

I want to see Chongqing as well to have this Yangtze cruise and see Three Gorges...

Chengdu-Chongqing trip

3+ days? Sorry, I don%26#39;t think that%26#39;s enough time to see Chengdu, Chongqing as well as do the 3 Gorges cruise, you%26#39;re too ambitious!

The Chongqing -- Yichang 3 Gorges cruise usually takes 3 days to complete on its own. Or did you mean to do it by hydrofoil? http://www.chinadam.com/cruise/hydrofoil.htm has the timings and community.travelchinaguide.com/review2.asp鈥?/a> has a trip report from a few years back.

Still, Chongqing is still quite a few hours by bus or train from Chengdu. That means that after you work out the travel times, you%26#39;ll still have less than a day to spend in either city, and a full day needed to do the 3 Gorges by hydrofoil. Not worth it IMHO.

Sim%26#39;s is very popular, if you%26#39;re really keen to stay there I would suggest that you book in advance since you%26#39;re arriving on a weekend.
