advise on hangzhous itinerary
Two days would be nice, but you see a lot more than this. If you get a morning start and check in early afternoon, easy to visit Lingyin Temple and the ';Hill flown from afar'; in one afternoon. Visit Hefang St at night. West lake boat ride and some of the walking can be done in half a day then I%26#39;d go to LongJing Tea village (take the boat to the south side of the lake.)
Perhaps fit in Silk St on your last day. I like the botanic gardens in Spring, but too hot in Summer.
advise on hangzhous itinerary
hi,zhuhai2007,
thanks for the prompt reply.
discusing the date to go there this morning with the family, one of my kids can only go for a vacation in dec cos of some school oversea attachments.
if i go to shh and hangzhou in dec; will it be too cold to walk along the lake and hence miss out all the nice scenery and things there?
i plan for a 3 days 2 nights as worry 2 days 1 night is too rushing and we will miss out nice things in hangzhou.
it should be easy to move around in hangzhou on our own using the public bus?
Lingyin Temple is generally better visited in the morning.
3 days would be quite leisurely for Hangzhou. What time do you plan to leave for Hangzhou on day 1, and return to Shanghai on day 3? What are you generally more interested in seeing, doing and experiencing?
Coming from Singapore, of course it would be colder in winter than what you%26#39;re used to. Just make sure you have the appropriate clothing to go along. I think winter is actually a good time to go, if you want less people invading your photos.
Public bus transport is fine in Hangzhou (except during rush hour), I%26#39;m assuming your Chinese language skills are ok. If you can%26#39;t read Chinese characters then it would be a problem.
hi,
tk for your prompt reply.
we can read chinese words.
I hope to catch the ist train to hangzhou and since 3 days will a leisure stay in hangzhou, then i will leave hangzhou in the morning on the 3rd day.
i will like to visit the Lingyin temple and the Lake and hope to stroll in the Night Market.
I presume shopping is better in shanghai than hangzhou.
regards
Night market? What are you referring to? Pasar malam?
yes, pasar malam. I think Wushan Square should be enough to walk around in the night. Any big and shopping malls near the Lake?
thanks
Yan%26#39;an Lu has the highest concentration of shopping malls and it runs approximately parallel and to the east of the east bank of West Lake. Look on a map and you%26#39;ll see it.
ellyse, noted with thanks
No problem, you%26#39;re welcome.
