Hello,
I am sure that this is covered elsewhere so I%26#39;m sorry for asking but where is the best area to stay in Hong Kong? I%26#39;m completely confused. Myself %26amp; my friend are staying for 4 days/ 3 nights in July on a stop over. We want to see as much as possible so we need to be near all the sights etc.
Many thanks
x

This question always gets the same answer. ';The HK transport system is so good, that you can stay anywhere';
For me, I stay at the Eaton Hotel on Nathan Road in Kowloon. I have taken friends to HK many times and they all agree that Kowloon is much more fun than the Hong Kong side. Crowded, more gritty, but still completely safe. Also, the Eaton is just a block or two from the Temple Street Night Market %26amp; this is a great way to spend an evening. I take the MTR or Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island to go to Stanley or the Peak, but do all my shopping %26amp; eating from TST to Mongkok.
Hope this helps. If not, drop me an email %26amp; I will be happy to answer more questions. Those of us who love Hong Kong are always ready to bring others into the fold!

What is your budget? Yes, Hong Kong%26#39;s public transportation is so cheap, efficient, convenient and frequent that as long you stay close to a train (metro/tube) station, you can go everywhere easily. Hence your budget decides the comfort level of your rooms and neigbhourhood.
