Aiport to YMCA Salisbury Transport - bus or Airport Express

Hi,

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 5yrs and 7yrs) are staying at the YMCA Salisbury. We arrive at Hong Kong Airport on Wednesday 7 May at 5:45pm after a flight from Australia. We will have 4 large suitcases plus hand luggage.

Would it be better and easier to take the door-to-door airport Hotel-link bus or to take the Airport Rail Express to the YMCA??

Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

AussieKaren

The Airport Rail Express will cost HK$280 for four of you which is quite similar to the money you pay for a taxi. How much does YMCA charge you for the hotel-link bus? You can compare the two. Having said that, the Rail Express is very convenient at the airport (than using the cars) - you just walk for less than 2 minutes and it is a nice ride in particular for the children. The downside is, however, you have to change to a shuttle bus which officially does not stop at the Ys. The nearest stop is at Kowloon Hotel opposite to Y but you can request the driver to drop you at YMCA, its all at his discretion!

Enjoy Hong Kong!

We are currently at the YMCA. We used the Airport Express train at about 5.30pm. It was very busy. Cost was $220 as we were a group of four ( 2A and 2C)

I used the airport express train to the YMCA Salisbury. It was easy to get a shuttle from the Airport Express train station to YMCA. The shuttle actually drops off passengers at the side of the Peninsula Hotel which is actually also the side entrance of the YMCA Salisbury. If I remember correctly, that street between Peninsula and Salisbury is Hankow St. and that%26#39;s where the shuttle picks up and drops AE passengers. I also rode the shuttle to the AE station on my departure.
