Visiting Beijing in last week of May'08

Hi, my family and I will be visiting Beijing for the first time. We are planning to come in the last week of May.

But people are telling me the weather will be hot and humid; not a good time to come. Plus there are sand storms...

Can someone advise if it is really that bad timing to go ???

Thanks.

Hot, yes. Humid, no more so than Singapore -- and it%26#39;s actually drier.

Sandstorms are usually in April, you should be clear of those by the last week of May.

i%26#39;m a local resident, never heard, no such thing.

Sanstorms: you know, when the sky turns orange and there is grit in the air?

It doesn%26#39;t happen that often, mostly in April, and plantings of trees around the city are supposed to help put an end to it.
