We are planning to go from Beijing to Mutianyu great wall and stay overnight at a hotel (Red Capital Ranch). If we wanted to go to Chengde the next day what is the best way? Do we have to go all the way back to Beijing to catch a train to Chengde or is there a train station near the Mutianyu Great Wall that has service to Chengde?

Mutianyu Great Wall to Chengde
The Best way is rent a car to Simatai Great wall, which is only 80 km away to Chengde. After the wall, you stay at local village family and then do Chengde.
