3 to 4 days in Shanghai area

We%26#39;re coming by plane from Beijing for about 4 days. How much time do we need in Shanghai (no shopping time needed) and what other cities should we visit. I%26#39;ve read about Hangzhou, Suzhou, etc. and just want a sense of what can be accomplished in just 4 days reasonably. Should we stay overnight anywhere other than Shanghai, or just do day trips?

3 to 4 days in Shanghai area

2-3 days for Shanghai. I would suggest that you pick EITHER Hangzhou or Suzhou, not try to do both; I prefer Hangzhou myself. I would allow 1.5-2 days for Hangzhou, and perhaps 1-1.5 days for Suzhou.
