Wedding Rings

My Fiance and I are going to Hong Kong in October and thought we might have a look to see if we can get our Wedding Rings while we%26#39;re out there. Does any one have any ideas where we can go and how much we would expect to pay?

Wedding Rings

There are lots of jewellers here so shop around. I did the same as you about 6 years ago, though we had already decided to go for platinum Tiffany rings and checked out prices in Singapore and Sydney as well as HK before buying. Hk was marginally cheaper than SGP and Sydney at the time (2002). Can%26#39;t say what the price would be now and I have no plans to get married again soon :-). Got my wife%26#39;s ring at the branch in the Peninsula and I got mine over at Sogo - they resized it for me in about 4 days, so plenty of time even if you are here on holiday.

Do you want gold? The cost will depend on the daily price per ounce. Chinese gold is very high quality (about 98% purity) and is very yellow in colour compared to the stuff in the UK (which has a much lower gold content and is mixed with all sorts of other metals). It is not to everyone%26#39;s tastes, but I prefer it.

Don%26#39;t be surprised if you go in and ask the price of a ring and the guy/gal has to weigh it and run a conversion through a calculator to get the actual price. Current price is about 450GBP per ounce. I think platinum is nearly 1000GBP per ounce at the moment.

chow sang sang and chow tai fook are the more reputable jewellers.

Hi Kel

I have a jeweller in Hong Kong who was recommended to me and I have had jewellery from him over the past 5 years, some off the shelf and some which we have designed together, all of it stunning and excellent value especially compared to the price and quality which we get here in the UK.

The jeweller is within a well known chain in HK called Prince Jewellery there are a number of there shops dotted around.

My contact is Raymond he is located within Prince Jewellery on the ground floor of the Ocean Terminal.

As you get off the Star Ferry TST side, Ocean Terminal is on your left go up the steps to the enterance and take the first isle on your left, you will come into a bit of an open square and Prince Jewellery is on your left.

Ask for Raymond tell him that Nigel and Julie-Ann Frost recommended him and I am sure he will sort you out with something fantastic.

congratulations!!!

i ordered mine in hong kong, however i needed our pair ordering as they didn%26#39;t have the size available in stock

this is taking three months, however i got family constantly going to hong kong

the pair i bought (partner was in uk) is like a thick 18 k thick white gold with tiny diamonds going down the ring in 4 position

the price was $11600 for the pair but as its the regular jewellers i use i paid $8600

拢575 on the visa bill when it came through

i do 100% recommend to buy in hong kong, you can buy a pair for the price of one
